PCB Bans All-Rounder Hamza Nazar for 2 Years Over Visa Probe

All-rounder Hamza Nazar will be sidelined from both international and domestic fixtures following a major disciplinary ruling by the Pakistan Cricket Board. On Thursday in Lahore, cricket authorities confirmed that the player has been hit with a two-year ban along with a monetary sanction of Rs1 million.

The penalty stems from inaccuracies uncovered during an official visa submission managed through the governing body. According to Dawn Sport, an internal investigation established that Nazar failed to present full details and omitted vital documentation when filling out his paperwork.

To investigate the discrepancies, the PCB appointed a dedicated three-member panel. Prior to completing their final report, committee members evaluated the documentary evidence and provided the cricketer a formal opportunity to explain his stance.

After reviewing the findings presented by the panel, board executives decided to enforce the full suspension across every tier of the sport. The administrative body stressed that submitting misleading information contradicts the standard of honesty required from professional athletes, confirming that acts of misrepresentation are treated with extreme severity.
