According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Ngelime conceived the piece as a hybrid between essayistic cinema and participatory storytelling. The creative framework was designed to directly address systemic oversights regarding women's health and personal experiences.

Ngelime expressed that her primary drive to create the documentary stemmed from anger "at how little interest there is in understanding women's bodies." Set against the cultural context of Tanzania, the project seeks to challenge long-standing indifference toward female bodily awareness.

By joining Locarno's Open Doors showcase, which spotlights creators from underrepresented film markets, the production is positioned to seek international partners.
